CLEVER CARE X SLOGGI
LOVE YOUR CLOTHES, LOVE THE PLANET.
How you wash your clothes can impact the environment. Yep, that’s right.
We want to ensure your sloggi garments to keep on living their best life, without the worry that you’re making life difficult for mother nature. Simply follow our aftercare advice below.
STORE
No one likes piles of unsightly dirty laundry. Keep it in a well-aired and dry place and try not to leave it lying around for too long.
Wet and sweaty laundry should be washed asap. Can’t wash it right away? Hang it out to dry till you can.
SORT
Always separate your clothes into colour groups: whites, brights and dark colours. You don’t want a load of pink washing because you forgot to remove one bright red sock.
Oh, and always wash new items separately, the colours could easily run.
WASH
We know how much you love doing laundry, but do try to not overwash your stuff. No only does this keep your garment in better shape, it gives the planet a break too.
And, don’t go crazy using lots of detergent. More does not mean better. Like goldilocks, use just the right amount.
Low temperatures and short programmes are your friend.
The label may say 40 degrees but that’s actually the maximum temperature you can wash your clothes at. Play it cool and take it down to 30. Your clothes will be just as clean and the earth will thank you.
For garments marked ‘easy-care’ use a mild washing cycle. Or if you’re feeling extra loving, try hand washing your bras.
Don’t overcrowd the load. You don’t like being squashed into a small space, neither do you bras and knickers.
Spin carefully (to avoid the risk of creasing) (when we say spin, we mean the machine, not you, you could get dizzy)
Dry
Reduce the amount you tumble dry, take a little longer and let them air dry. Be a little patient!
Tempted to spin your clothes dry? Opt for air drying instead, it protects your clothes and the environment. Double win
